What Are Pigment Dispersions?
Pigment dispersions, also called pigment pastes or colorant dispersions, are highly concentrated, ready-to-use liquid colorants in which dry pigment powder is optimally milled and stabilized in a liquid carrier. The carrier may be water for water based pigment dispersions, an organic solvent for solvent based pigment dispersions, or a universal resin system for a universal pigment paste compatible with both.
A pre-dispersed, stabilized colorant eliminates energy-intensive grinding on the production floor. It supports dust-free handling, rapid color development, maximum tinting strength and consistent batch performance in paints, inks, plastics and textile manufacturing.

Universal Pigment Paste — Dual-System Compatible
This binder-free, VOC-free and APEO-free universal pigment paste is compatible with aqueous and non-aqueous coating systems. A single paste can be incorporated into acrylic emulsions, alkyds, epoxies and polyurethanes, reducing the need to stock separate water-based and solvent-based colorants.
Water-Based Pigment Dispersions

Solvent-Based Pigment Dispersions

It is compatible with water-based decorative paints such as acrylic emulsions and latex, as well as solvent-based industrial coatings including alkyds, epoxies and polyurethanes.
