I had a special interest in colours as a child which inspired me to pursue B. Tech in Dyestuff Technology from University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai (currently known as Institute of Chemical Technology, ICT) in the year 1982. After graduating, I started Himan Chromox. in 1989 from a very small scale, manufacturing only 3 tonnes per month of Chrome Pigments. Today the name Manali is a well established brand in the field of Chrome Pigments and Organic Pigments. Currently we manufacture not only Chrome Pigments but also various types of Lead Oxides and Lead Alloys. Today we are one of the largest manufacturers of Chrome Pigments, Lead Oxides and Lead Alloys in entire Northern India.

Inspired by my father, Mr. Manmohan Agarwal, founder of the company, I did my chemical engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (formerly known as UDCT), which even today helps me in effectively conducting the molecular transformations at scales varying from thousands of tonnes to few kilograms per day in an economically attractive and environmentally safe manner.
We attribute our success to the continued patronage of our valued customers, who stood by us over the years and who have put their trust in us. On the other hand, our internal driving force of dedicated and specialized team members, including our regulatory and professional staff, who are working above and beyond the call of duty to drive Manali Pigments to the next level, are certainly on an equal plane.
